I could not find sensor permission requested here. Could you please elaborate?

Is it perhaps related to the accelerometer when used to control portrait mode?

two possible reason.

1 you are on normal android, and this permission is given to all app by default.
2 the permission is used to turn off the screen when in call to put in on the ear.

Warning i did not read the source code recently so i do not know if my assumption are correct or even up to date.
