Quite right. I think the issue is that the feature is not implemented in a way how people would expect it to be implemented.
They are assuming that it’s basically like using Iroh to show when you’re online generally.
I honestly think the confusion would clear up if the feature was just implemented using Iroh (along with typing indicators) and then just make that optional (can be disabled).
