# Messaging Layer Security Protocol Standard?

Wire wants to deploy MLS end of April:

Would be interesting to see how it goes. Could be the first Secure Messenger to have Continuous Group Key Agreement deployed.

EDIT: in my tests I never managed to enable MLS in group chats in Wire even after they announced that it is deployed. All group chats were still created with Proteus and old group chats did not upgrade.
