We compared 20 international popular email providers considering performance, practicability and transparency as main criteria to find out which providers work well with Delta Chat. Welcome! I have no experience with DreamHost. But I would generally recommend using a chatmail instance. These are free and better suited for chatting than regular email providers. Plus, they’re quicker to set up. I’ve been experimenting and dreamhost works, but, yes, dedicated relays are much snappier. i looked at hosting a relay behind an nginx here at home, but gave up when I realised the complexity of the setup; and dreamhost’s DNS config interface refused to allow the recommended CAA entry. ---
